Some easy Economic Tips:
First and foremost, the greatest tip you will ever get when talking
about your personal finances is: "Do a Budget".
This doesn't mean drawing some huge economic forecast statement or spreadsheet.
You can prepare a budget just with a piece of paper on your kitchen or dining room table!!!
A Budget, put simply, is the notion that you account for your own Income and Expenses then relating these to your personal position.
In other words, what comes into your household less what goes out on items such as: Housing Loan Repayments, Car payments and running costs, Food, Utilities - Power, Gas and the like, School fees also Local Government Rates and Taxes and then translate these onto a monthly basis.
What's left over will be your savings and spending money.
Simple isn't it?
There are other aspects you should consider, like: "Do I Need or do I just Want".
"Needs" are the things you must have, like a house to live in to protect yourself and family. A car to get to work so you can earn income to pay for those "Needs".
"Wants and Needs" are totally different aspects of your life. If it's a "Want" are you just trying to keep up with the Jones' and will it make such a big difference in your life if you don't get what you "Want" today?
Just remember, if you buy and pay for your "Wants" first then you may not have the capacity to pay for your "Needs" and the end result will be you'll end up with neither.
The best advice you can get is, listen to yourself not the salesperson. That
way you're in control.
